South West Grid for Learning

 

The South West Grid for Learning (SWGfL) Trust is a not-for-profit charitable trust providing schools and other establishments with safe, secure, managed and supported connectivity and associated services, learning technologies to improve outcomes, and the toolkit for being safer online.

We are delighted to be appointed as the South West regional partner for the Barefoot Computing programme, our remit covers Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, Dorset, Bristol, Bath, South Gloucestershire, Gloucester, Swindon, Wiltshire, Bournemouth & Poole.

 

As part of our commitment to this exciting project we will be recruiting up to 100 volunteers from the Computing field across our region who are passionate and enthusiastic about inspiring the next generation. Following training around the new Computing curriculum and the Barefoot resources, we will match our volunteers up with local primary schools who through their experiences will help teachers feel confident and enthusiastic about delivering this new material.
